Bio:
Kirsty Danielson is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery & Anaesthesia at the University of Otago in Wellington, where she leads the Surgical Cancer Research Group. Her research focusses on the use of small RNAs and extracellular vesicles as predictive biomarkers in disease, their functional role in tissue microenvironments, and use as novel therapeutics. She was a member of the NIH Extracellular RNA Communication Consortium during her postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and is a founding board member of the Australia and New Zealand Society for Extracellular Vesicles
